A small, hard-working insurance firm based in Norfolk Nebraska.
Thanks for checking out my website. I grew up on a farm in Randolph Nebraska which has a population of about 1000 and is in the Northeast corner of the state. Randolph has declared itself the honey capital of the nation. http://www.ci.randolph.ne.us/
Randolph had over a dozen beekeepers at one time and that was quite a few for a town of 1000. One of the beekeepers was my uncle Rodney Gubbels who now has his operation in California. In my younger days when uncle Rod was getting started in the bee business I spent lots of time riding around with him in his 1977 1 ton Ford Boom truck. In my early teenage years, it was always a treat to go and help him extract honey.
I've always been a farmer at heart, even though I'm an insurance agent now. My father and 2 brothers farm about 4500 acres in Northeast Nebraska. Being so involved in agricuture has helped me grow my crop insurance business. Here in Nebraska 2012 was a horrible drought that would have caused many family farms to go under had it not been for the federally subsidized crop insurance. Recently with the USDA's Risk Management Agency extending the program to apiculture I want to help beekeepers accross the nation tap into this useful program.
Ed and Nicki moved from a small farming town in SW Iowa to Florida over 10 years ago with their children. Ed and Nicki have been blessed with knowing Kevin Gubbels for over 15 years and are excited with the opportunity to be around the farming culture again through "Insure My Honey" and connecting with local Florida Bee Keepers.
